Exactly four and a half months following Russell Martin's first press conference as Rangers manager, his replacement Danny Rohl faced reporters at Rangers' stadium for the first time.

The scale of the challenge facing him is well known, given his predecessor's chaotic and disappointing 123-day tenure.

The former Sheffield Wednesday manager was accompanied by club chairman the chairman, along with the much-criticized pair of sporting director Kevin Thelwell and chief executive Stewart.

However, what exactly was revealed from the young German's first public appearance as Rangers boss?

Rohl's Primary Focus - Winning Comes First

One thing emerged loud and clear from Rohl's initial presentation in front of the Scottish media - he understands the necessity to secure victories, and achieve this quickly.

The previous manager Russell Martin lasted only 17 games and 123 days as manager, so the inquiry arose about how long Rohl believes is reasonable to transform the underperforming squad.

While skillfully avoiding a direct answer that might create future pressure, the coach's message was very evident.

"Hopefully very quickly," he stated. "This is crucial.
"In football you have not much opportunity. You can discuss long-term vision but it's understood it's about immediate results and the short-term is about securing victories. This is my requirement.
"One thing remains obvious - I need all players to comprehend our intended to perform. I return to my main theme: it's winning, it's attractive and it's together. If you follow this sequence, I believe that I will remain for years here."

Pressure is Normal

Martin required security protection to leave the stadium after his final game in charge.

We've seen how toxic environments can turn at sports teams when performances decline. Demonstrations have nearly become a regular aspect of game day atmosphere on both sides of the city these days.

As Rangers' youngest ever head coach, the question was posed about which attributes Rohl believes he possesses that would allow him to handle, let alone excel, in one of the most pressurized positions in UK soccer?

"I think pressure in this business is normal," he commented. "You must learn that very quickly.
"I believe some people might mention my age but I'm a decade and a half in this career. I had an excellent opportunity to work with the German club and be only an assistant manager, but I felt what it means to be a head coach and the demands you face.
"You begin winning games and then certain people claim you need to play attractive soccer. That's the next stage but that's exactly what I want. I enjoy those expectations and I'm excited for what's ahead."

Thelwell Explains Chermiti Signing & Hiring Family Member

There were plenty of questions from journalists for Thelwell.

Much discussion has concerned the hiring of Robbie Thelwell as head of recruitment, with fans unconvinced about his credentials for the position.

However, he justified and explained the choice to recruit his son to the club.

"It remains uncomfortable to listen and optically I think everyone understood when we took this decision to appoint him that he would be seen negatively," Thelwell stated.
"The reality of circumstances is that we want to bring the very best talent here.
"My view on Robbie's career and background is he required no family help in soccer.
"He's worked at Villa as a senior scout, after which he joined Norwich City as scouting chief and then was elevated to development role.
"Before we hiring him, multiple top division teams wanted to acquire him. What we did from the beginning of the process was consult with Patrick, Andrew and deputy chairman Marathe about this matter.
"I was extremely transparent and I believe Robbie probably underwent a stricter procedure than any other employee by the team.
"I'm certain is that he'll labor constantly to achieve success for Rangers and I'm looking forward to him proving that he'll become an excellent employee for the club."

Additionally, Thelwell supported the signing of forward Youssef Chermiti, who arrived at Rangers for a reported initial fee of eight million pounds, having failed to score in 24 appearances for Everton.

It was Thelwell who transferred the Portuguese youth international to Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon - once more for large funds in a fifteen million pound transfer.

He was asked if he stands by his multi-million pound purchase, who hasn't yet register in seven matches for the club.

"Yes, very much so," Thelwell responded. "I think Youssef Chermiti represents who's possesses huge potential.
"I've never questioned him whatsoever. Again, I believe the manager will help to maximize the potential out of the player.
"It's very initial stages for him, he's a young talent and of course with inexperienced players they sometimes take time.
"However, I'm convinced over the course of his career at the club he'll demonstrate that he's a very, very good player."

The CEO Acknowledges Fan Frustration and Anger

The chief executive was facing firing line, considering the vitriol that has been aimed his way by certain club fans.

Additionally, there was a sign in the stadium during the recent tie with Dundee United suggesting Stewart - and Thelwell - to depart before being removed for him.

Similar to the football director, Stewart didn't evade the issue.

"I totally understand the frustration and hurt that fans are feeling because results this season haven't met expectations and no one is happy with them," he stated.
"The hurt and disappointment fans experience is mirrored within the boardroom.
"Also understand that there has to be an outlet for those frustrations and as chief executive, that's me.
"I serve as lightning rod for such issues and my responsibility as a
